What Our Families Say
Thank you to all the staff at Goole Hall for all the love you gave to my grandmother, especially in her last few weeks. They went the extra mile to make sure she was comfortable and that we as relatives were looked after too.
Came to visit my aunt this week and she was so happy and relaxed. The staff were very welcoming and able to answer any questions I had regarding my aunt’s care. They had an event on and myself and my aunt were given a lovely tray of homemade cakes and pastries.
I really enjoyed my visit.
I visit my relative at Goole Hall on a regular basis and the staff always make me feel very welcome and offer me a drink when I arrive. The care my relative receives is really good and the staff cannot do enough, not only for my relative but for other residents as well.
I visit my elderly grandmother who is always treated with dignity and respect. The home does have a wonderful atmosphere and there is always plenty of staff around to assist when need be.
Keep up the good work and I wish you all the very best in the festive period.
My dad-in-law past away on 1/8/2019 in Goole Hall just want to thank all the staff for looking after him so well and making his last week so easy for him nothing was too much for them and we could go anytime we wanted and stay the night with him you don’t get lots of good care homes but Goole hall is one of the best staff are lovely so thank you to everyone.
My Mum has been in Goole Hall for three years now. She has dementia. They kept her safe during the pandemic as they were one of the few homes to stay covid free until she had had all four vaccinations. I can’t say that I could have done the same. I know she’s safe there.
The furniture may not be always new but the staff care, a lot! She can be very difficult at times but they don’t get cross with her but make her laugh so she quickly forgets to be difficult.
I’m more than happy with the care she gets.
My dad was in the care of the team at Goole Hall for palliative care in November 2022. Everyone at Goole Hall cared for him exceptionally well; they were so caring, respectful, and above all, kind. Dad was very ill and sadly passed away, but the team at Goole Hall were so attentive; they looked after Mum and me and my wife too, always updating us on how Dad was, giving us tea and lovely lunches for my mum too, whilst we sat with Dad.
Thank you, everyone, at Goole Hall – you were all amazing.
Dad went into Goole Hall from September 2022 until January 2023 for respite care, while there the staff got him walking around with a frame which he was struggling to do before going in. We found the room warm and comfortable. All the staff were polite, always knocking before entering and always treating Father with respect and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble, they were always willing to help with anything that he needed.
Whenever he used his call button it never seemed long before someone was there. Meals were of good quality and varied cooked meals at midday, sandwiches early evening. Staff are always welcoming when we visited asking us to sign in and always taking us into the room and walking us out when time to leave. Father had his 85th birthday while in Goole Hall, they made him a cake and a bit of a fuss of him – making his day.
Father is now home and manages most things with a little help where needed. If ever I needed to go into a home I would have no problems picking this one.
Thanks to all staff.
My mum moved to Goole Hall when she was no longer able to live independently. I have nothing but praise for the standard of care that she receives. All the staff are professional and caring in their approach. The standard of food is very good. My mum always enjoys her meals.
Residents are invited to join in a number of activities such as bingo and indoor bowls. Family events are organised such as coffee mornings and a recent Coronation lunch was held. The staff made a great effort to ensure that this was a fun day.
Recently, my mum has been rather poorly. The ongoing care my mum receives is exemplary. Goole Hall staff are friendly and welcoming. They keep in contact with me about my mum’s needs and forthcoming events. I am so glad my mum is in such a caring, warm and safe place.
No amount of cash could ever recompense the remarkable staff at Goole Hall who look after some of our most frail and vulnerable loved ones.
I was with them when my mother-in-law succumbed to old age. That she clung on for so long was testament to her own indomitable spirit. But of equal significance was the love she received from the carers and their colleagues who, for the four-and-a-bit years that she was their “guest”, looked upon her as nothing less than a member of their own extended family.
How old am I now?” was the inevitable question she would ask visitors and staff, even though her mind had escaped relatively intact for a woman of her advanced age.
“You’re 98, Mum,” was our usual reply. “If you keep going for less than two more years there’ll be a card from King Charles.”
Sadly, she didn’t that milestone, but the metaphorical yards she did cover were the more bearable thanks to her GH carers & others. To them, one and all, we’ll be forever in your debt.
Thank you to all the staff at Goole Hall for the care of our grandmother and for making us feel so welcome when visiting. The home made meals were very tasty apparently, staff were very attentive and her bedroom was spacious and nicely furnished.
We are glad that we chose an independently owned care home rather than a council run home, it was much more personal.
My mother is in here , originally for respite but looking increasingly she will become a resident.
The staff are friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble. The Manager and her Deputy have a wealth of knowledge and I have absolutely no concerns or issues. I have peace of mind and I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking fir a caring environment
